Life is Like a Puzzle

Dear Beautiful People,

Life is like a puzzle.

We are constantly searching for answers on how to put it all together.  Each piece of the puzzle represents life experience – victory, adversity, triumph, failure (YOU are not a failure but sometimes life doesn’t go as planned), happiness, disappointment, clarity, confusion, growth, new direction, personal development, a friendship, a relationship, a character trait, a choice, a consequence… the list goes on and on.

We don’t always get to choose the pieces.  However, every piece of the puzzle gives meaning to our lives and prepares us to live out our purpose.  Hmmm… how do you define purpose?

So walk in love, joy, compassion, kindness and peace.  Keep creating your masterpiece… your life puzzle.  You are worth it.  You matter.  You are beautiful.

P.S. Don’t be bitter.  Life gets sweeter…that’s what I tell myself, hah!  Keep living…  🙂

Peace,

YaKima

Encouragement

Dear Beautiful People,

Encouragement is one of the best gifts you can give to someone.  Every person you meet needs to be encouraged in some way.  Even if it seems like that person is feeling great… encourage them anyway.

Life is not easy but encouraging someone is.  Encouraging people is life-changing for the giver and the receiver.

Encourage yourself too.  🙂

Go forth and encourage,

YaKima

A Conversation

Dear Beautiful People,

A conversation… You are invited. 🙂

You: Where do I begin?
Me: You can start with breathing.

You: I’m weary.
Me: I understand.  You are not alone.  Life has away of pulling the rug from under your feet while you are trying to stand firm.  This too shall pass.  Don’t give up.  Please don’t.  You are worth it.

You: I’m not beautiful.
Me: What mirror and dictionary are you looking in?  Look again.  Yes, YOU are most certainly beautiful!  Be kind to you inner and outer self.

You: I don’t matter in this world.
Me: Yes, YOU do!  The world needs you because there is no one like you.

You: Does it matter what neighborhood I live in, what car I drive, what clothes I wear, how many friends or followers I have, how I look, where I’m from…?
Me: It matters how you treat people (including yourself)… with love, acceptance, compassion, respect, generosity and kindness.

You: I’m happy!
Me: That’s wonderful.  Embrace the moment and make others happy too.  We’ll have a village of happy people!

You: I don’t know what to do.  I don’t have all of the answers right now.
Me: I understand.  You are not alone.  We will not have all of the answers, but we can have faith.  Have you ever tried praying, being still, quiet time, devotion time or meditating?  It is life-changing.  You can try to start there if you would like to, okay.

You: I feel better.
Me: That’s great to hear!  The seasons of life change.  That includes victory, blessings, defeat, waiting, memories, moments, struggles, overcoming, suffering, triumph, winning, setbacks, growth and change.  The hope is that we become better human beings during the seasons of life.

Me:  Plant seeds of joy in your heart! 🙂

You are not alone,

YaKima

Love is the Answer

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which has the potential to turn a life around.

– Leo Buscaglia

I love the quote by Leo so much I want to share it with you! It sums up how we should treat one another — no matter what race, religion, political party, class, body type, shape or size, sexual orientation, educational background, how many cars, houses or possessions one has, which neighborhood one lives in, whether we agree or disagree on an issue. The list goes on and on and on. So, let love guide you. I encourage you to commit the quote to memory and action. I’m in… Let’s do this together.

Love is the Answer!

A Letter to Love

Dear Love,

I hope this letter reaches you with an open heart.  I’m writing because you seem to come up in a lot of conversations.

Many people ask tons of questions about you.

They want answers to questions like…

What is love?

Where is love?

Why does love hurt?

Does anyone love me?

Here is what I’ve come up with so far.  I’ll share my thoughts with you.  I hope you will write back.

I believe Love is a gift for us: to be, do, say, express, feel, see, give, share, spread, tell, receive

LOVE is compassion and kindness.

I know LOVE is real because I see it in a mother’s eyes when she holds her child.

I see LOVE when a father gives his child a piggyback ride.

I see LOVE when the bus driver waits for a passenger.

I feel LOVE when someone holds the door open with a smile.

LOVE is global.  It covers every inch of the world.

LOVE is in your heart… each beat!  Keep LOVE in your heart and share it with a hurting world.

LOVE touches, heals and transforms.

Yes, it is true… love seems to hurt every now and then.

However, I believe it is not love that hurts.  The hurt is a result of an action or lack thereof, not love itself.  Let us not get love twisted, lol!

God is Love… unconditional LOVE.

LOVE is a simple solution for the world, problems, friendships, relationships… you name it!  Have you tried it?

Now is the time to give LOVE a try.

Spread Love Beautiful People!

Shine On

Each day we live is another gift to spread love.  We do not know what the day may bring.  However, there are many jewels we may bring with us every second of the day.  Life gets hard every now and then but life is harder without love.  I encourage you to shine on.

Shine On

As I wake up in the morning and my feet touch the ground

Pause and think… I am alive

Say thank you with a smile for the gift of life

I do not know what the day may bring

What I do know is I will carry love, kindness, positive energy, patience, hope and determination with me every second of the day

I will carry these things in my pockets as treasured jewels

In order to shine throughout the day… shine on
