Life is Like a Puzzle

Dear Beautiful People,

Life is like a puzzle.

We are constantly searching for answers on how to put it all together.  Each piece of the puzzle represents life experience – victory, adversity, triumph, failure (YOU are not a failure but sometimes life doesn’t go as planned), happiness, disappointment, clarity, confusion, growth, new direction, personal development, a friendship, a relationship, a character trait, a choice, a consequence… the list goes on and on.

We don’t always get to choose the pieces.  However, every piece of the puzzle gives meaning to our lives and prepares us to live out our purpose.  Hmmm… how do you define purpose?

So walk in love, joy, compassion, kindness and peace.  Keep creating your masterpiece… your life puzzle.  You are worth it.  You matter.  You are beautiful.

P.S. Don’t be bitter.  Life gets sweeter…that’s what I tell myself, hah!  Keep living…  🙂

Peace,

YaKima

Encouragement

Dear Beautiful People,

Encouragement is one of the best gifts you can give to someone.  Every person you meet needs to be encouraged in some way.  Even if it seems like that person is feeling great… encourage them anyway.

Life is not easy but encouraging someone is.  Encouraging people is life-changing for the giver and the receiver.

Encourage yourself too.  🙂

Go forth and encourage,

YaKima

A Conversation

Dear Beautiful People,

A conversation… You are invited. 🙂

You: Where do I begin?
Me: You can start with breathing.

You: I’m weary.
Me: I understand.  You are not alone.  Life has away of pulling the rug from under your feet while you are trying to stand firm.  This too shall pass.  Don’t give up.  Please don’t.  You are worth it.

You: I’m not beautiful.
Me: What mirror and dictionary are you looking in?  Look again.  Yes, YOU are most certainly beautiful!  Be kind to you inner and outer self.

You: I don’t matter in this world.
Me: Yes, YOU do!  The world needs you because there is no one like you.

You: Does it matter what neighborhood I live in, what car I drive, what clothes I wear, how many friends or followers I have, how I look, where I’m from…?
Me: It matters how you treat people (including yourself)… with love, acceptance, compassion, respect, generosity and kindness.

You: I’m happy!
Me: That’s wonderful.  Embrace the moment and make others happy too.  We’ll have a village of happy people!

You: I don’t know what to do.  I don’t have all of the answers right now.
Me: I understand.  You are not alone.  We will not have all of the answers, but we can have faith.  Have you ever tried praying, being still, quiet time, devotion time or meditating?  It is life-changing.  You can try to start there if you would like to, okay.

You: I feel better.
Me: That’s great to hear!  The seasons of life change.  That includes victory, blessings, defeat, waiting, memories, moments, struggles, overcoming, suffering, triumph, winning, setbacks, growth and change.  The hope is that we become better human beings during the seasons of life.

Me:  Plant seeds of joy in your heart! 🙂

You are not alone,

YaKima

Human

“If you had not suffered as you have, there would be no depth to you as a human being, no humility.  No compassion.”  ~Eckhart Tolle~

Dear Beautiful People,

Let us walk in love and compassion.  Life is not easy but it is worth it.  Your living is not in vain.  Your suffering is not in vain.  Life will get better.  Believe it will and celebrate in advance!

Go forth,

YaKima

Life is fleeting…

Question: When was the last time…     THINK

You said, “I love you.”

You kissed a loved one on the cheek.

You looked up at the sky, sun and the moon.

You told your spouse how much he or she means to you and how much you appreciate your partner.

You said thank you for the gift of life.

You thought about your life without a loved one.

You expressed your love with your actions and your words.

You did your best to not take people for granted.

You said a prayer.

You meditated.

You asked for forgiveness and/or forgave yourself.

You said, “thank you.”  Those two words create love!

You let the loved one be more important than being right.

You cared.

You listened to a song that made you feel like you can conquer the world… then pressed repeat more than three times.

You opened your heart to love.

You really let it go.

You smiled and kept walking when life didn’t feel good.

You took a deep breath during the day and realized how important each single breath was… and still is if you are reading this post.  😉

You really moved on from what is holding you back.

You got unstuck.

You held on to your faith.

You focused on someone other than yourself.

You hugged someone.  Hugs create love!

You smiled at someone.

You thought about how do you treat people.

You told someone, “No, you go first.”

You gave with a cheerful heart.

You took the time to think about life… the gift of life.

Now is always the best time to do the things that will help us appreciate life more, the people close to us and people all around us.  Let’s appreciate life – you and me!  🙂

Love is the Answer

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which has the potential to turn a life around.

– Leo Buscaglia

I love the quote by Leo so much I want to share it with you! It sums up how we should treat one another — no matter what race, religion, political party, class, body type, shape or size, sexual orientation, educational background, how many cars, houses or possessions one has, which neighborhood one lives in, whether we agree or disagree on an issue. The list goes on and on and on. So, let love guide you. I encourage you to commit the quote to memory and action. I’m in… Let’s do this together.

Love is the Answer!
